The Opportunity
The Research Fellow will play a key role in an Australian Research Council funded program focused on wearable biosensors.
They will contribute to the development of advanced biosensor technologies by studying the interaction between nanostructured-silicon-based nanomaterials and biological systems.
The position will primarily involve organic synthesis to enable the bioconjugation of targeting ligands and bioreceptors including aptamers and antibodies, as well as the development of stimulus-sensitive and cleavable linker chemistries compatible with silicon and porous silicon in the form of nanoparticles or biosensor substrates.
