Our client is a leader in the supply of high end building products into well known distribution points, both Wholesale and Retail.

We only deal in top end brands, and have a national distribution network, all operated by an extremely motivated team many of who have been with the company for many years.

Job tasks and responsibilities
Receipting/costings
Follow up suppliers where necessary
Identify and escalate issues with Product Management/GM Operations as they arise
Efficient & controlled management of expenditure in line with budget and turnover
Periodically review key costs and identify/implement cost reduction strategies (e.g. inbound freight reduction tactics, duty audits)Efficient & controlled management of expenditure in line with budget and turnover
Periodically review key costs and identify/implement cost reduction strategies (e.g. inbound freight reduction tactics, duty audits)A thorough understanding of Purchasing and Importing processes
Ensure all relevant procedures are documented
Technical competency using Computerised Systems
Placing purchase orders
costings
Shipment entry
Receipting shipments
Overdue orders not in transit

Conduct 6 monthly reviews for direct reports
Development of team members & provide coaching where required
Ensure team is skilled in all relevant processes & procedures
Procedure documentation and annual inductions

Critically assess all tasks and processes and suggest or make improvements to ensure higher customer satisfaction, increased efficiency or decreased costs.

Difot / Overstocks

In this role you will be responsible for 2 reports and you will report to the Director of Operations.

The business is located in the heart of Fortitude Valley in great new and modern premises, close the shopping precinct, and also walking distance to the city.

Salary:
$90, $99,000.00 per year
