Electrical Test Technician

Our client, a leading player in the rail industry is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join their team and be a part of the ongoing success and ensure the reliability and safety of railway electrical equipment.

Location:
Rydalmere

Responsibilities:

Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of railway electrical equipment, including 1500volt static inverters, Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) speed controllers, 100 to 250KV Gasfilled circuit breakers, and sensitive control equipment, including PCBs.
Recording results as required.
Carrying out wiring to relevant Australian Standards.
Acting in a safetyconscious manner.
Maintain stock accuracy by using parts that match the picking list.
Keeping your workspace at a high level of housekeeping.
Licence to operate Forklifts and Cranes to move materials when required,
Qualifications:
Trade Qualifications as an Electrical or Electronics Technician.
Previous High Voltage exposure
Experience and expertise in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
A valid licence for operating forklifts and cranes.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards for electrical work.
