Overview:


A successful and established sub-scontractor, who are now in the next phase of their growth plan are looking to add a Construction Manager to the team.


Currently operating across the Residential & Commercial Construction sectors, specialising within landscapes, Streetscapes and Pools, offering a full D&C turn key solution.


You will be joining a strong & collaborative environment and be working for a stable business, that invests heavily in staff development and new markets.


The Role:

Working alongside the Contracts Manager and reporting to the General Manager you will be:

  • Managing construction and production in line with quality, budget and time frame targets
  • Research and development of construction methods
  • Allocate and mobilise resources to meet production and continuously improve practices
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements
  • Quality control
  • Resolve disputes with clients, suppliers and trades
  • Occupation Health and Safety (OH&S) management system
  • Continuous improvement of departmental infrastructure through innovation and technology
  • Lead, motivate, train and develop the construction team
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Foster internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Manage the construction related reporting, systems and procedures
  • Work closely with the General Manager and the management team to ensure best practice and continuous improvement

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Construction Manager for either a Sub-contractor or main Contractor
  • Registered Building Practitioner (ideal)
  • Strong administration skills and knowledge of both the construction function and preconstruction functions in building
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with effective programming and progress management
  • Focus on quality of construction and exceptional customer service
  • Ability to identify and minimise risk for the Company
  • Conflict and crisis management, and ability to problem solve site issues
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to champion construction related software and reporting
  • Highly diligent, organised and resourceful with strong attentional to detail
