About the Role
The HMO3 Critical Care stream pathway offers many training experiences, suitable to your specific needs.

The year planner includes 1 term of ICU, 1 term at Hamilton Hospital Emergency Department and 1 cover term including nights and a 5 week block of annual leave alongside either Anaesthetics, Cardiology or Emergency at Geelong Hospital.

If you are interested in the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) please identify this preference when answering the key selection criteria.

The Critical Care Year plus the Emergency Medicine Certificate will be offered by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).

The Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) Training Program provides doctors working in Emergency Departments (EDs) with adequate knowledge and sufficient clinical experience to be safe and efficient practitioners.

The EMC is a six-month competency-based training program conducted in an Emergency Setting under the supervision of an approved EMC Supervisor.

The position offered includes 3 months at UHG ED under direct supervision of a FACEM and 3 months at the Hamilton Base hospital.

The UHG FACEMs visit Hamilton Base Hospital on a monthly basis and are available weekly to review and discuss cases.
