Job Description

The Alliance team is looking for a Trader Engagement Advisor to help implement the project's Communications and Community Engagement Strategy and Business Disruption Management Strategy.

Working as part of the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Team, you will help to deliver a project that will change the way people move around Melbourne.

You will work directly with the wider project construction team to identify and manage trader issues and communicate construction impacts, works progress and project benefits to the traders we work with.

The Project

The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been awarded the contract to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.

The project comprises the design and construction of the M80 Ring Road between Plenty Road and the new North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia.

Works include 14km of new lanes, separation of local roads from the freeways, almost 2 million cubic metres of earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping.

The project will deliver new lanes, smart technology, a seamless interchange with North East Link and the Greensborough Bypass, improved walking and cycling connections, along with more than 4,000 trees planted.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and delivery of timely and targeted communications in line with the project's Communications and Community Engagement Plan and Business Disruption Management Plan
Work collaboratively with the project team to develop a detailed knowledge of upcoming construction impacts in line with the works program and communicate to traders
Provide trader engagement related support and guidance to the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Team
Help identify opportunities to promote key elements of trader support
Respond to changing priorities

Required Skills and Competencies

Minimum 3 years' industry experience in a communications role
Capability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail
Experience in a communications and/or trader engagement role preferred
