Description

Early intervention outreach service focused on strengthening parenting capacity to improve family functioning and child safety with children under 18 years of age based at Noarlunga.**
The Role


The Case Manager is responsible for working in partnership with families, DHS, Department for Child Protection (DCP) and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team setting.

The Case Manager will provide collaborative therapeutic case management, including practical in-home supports, parenting skill development, connection to community and culture, and advocacy to address child safety risk factors.

The Case Manager is the families' key worker, integrating the multidisciplinary approach.

The service aims to safeguard children in their family by

  • Establishing safety
  • Increasing parenting capacity
  • Strengthening family functioning and
  • Strengthening family connections to natural and community supports and culture.


This is a Parental Leave Replacement for opportunity from the 11th of December 2023 to the 6th of September 2024.

Essential

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (previously known as 'Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance')

Desirable

  • Experience working with vulnerable families with complex needs
  • Case Management Experience
  • Sound theoretical knowledge of the impact of childhood trauma and factors affecting attachment as well as relevant therapeutic interventions
