Brunel has partnered with a key Australian organisation with a depth of experience in owning, developing and operating Australian farmland, agriculture infrastructure and other assets.

They now are seeking a passionate and dedicated People and Safety Administrator to join their team in
Canberra.

This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic organisation that are in constant growth phase.


About this role
Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Environmental and Equal Opportunity objectives, and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Safety Management System
  • Support the People Adviser with recruitment, advertising, interviews and reference checks
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Assist with fortnightly preparation and checking of payroll
  • Produce and complete payroll journals, leave reports and TOIL reports
  • Support the Safety Manager, coordinating document production, system administration, procurement, scheduling audits, travel arrangements and cost allocation
  • Assist with the development of HR, WHS and ICT training materials as required

About you
Experience and skills

  • Knowledge of, and interest in human resources required
  • Knowledge of work health and safety activities is advantageous
  • 12 months + experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Process oriented with the ability to follow guidelines and work autonomously
  • Strong ICT literacy skills with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite software
  • Methodical, logical and practical working approach
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
