Your part in Buderim Private Hospital

  • As the Patient Safety Officer, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Hospital Executive, Managers and staff to improve patient safety outcomes. You will support the implementation and management of quality and risk frameworks at Buderim Private Hospital. You will evaluate patient safety outcomes and identify opportunities for continual improvement.

  • With a keen interest in quality, safety and continuous improvement, your experience has equipped you with the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with managers through to front line leaders; improving practices through influencing behaviours, knowledge and outcomes through your support.
You'll be highly competent in supporting hospital-wide quality initiatives and demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • A clinical background of at least 5 years front line experience _(desirable)_
  • Experience in health care accreditation and regulartory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement initatives
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and best practice evidence regarding patient safety
  • Able to work effectively to support successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively support change in a complex environment
