About the role


We have multiple 12 month fixed-term contract roles - open to have the role located in any region for the right person.

The purpose of the Country Banking KYC Analyst: efficiently and competently to handle first line responsibilities in the completion, review, maintenance, and administration of the various County Banking Business Support activities including:

  • Initial and ongoing KYC/ Due Diligence requirements (Anti Money Laundering (AML)/Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) Act)
  • International regulatory requirements including, but not limited to US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standards (CRS).


The role will support the Country Banking Australia front line teams by completing the 'gap analysis' component of the periodic review process for low and medium risk clients.


The role will also work closely with the Financial Economic Crime Operations & Intelligence (FEC) team to ensure an effective handover for the 'risk assessment' component.

The role will also be required to support FEC as needed throughout the end-to-end process, alongside other business support activities as needed.

The role will also act as a first point of contact for CDD enquires from the front-line teams."


To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in KYC/AML client on boarding, compliance, or risk function (preferred).
  • Service experience gained within banking and / or business or corporate banking as an Analyst or similar (Agri experience preferred but not essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory KYC/AML requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills: ability to analyse complex structures to determine risk exposure and applicable KYC/AML requirements.
  • Knowledge of financial banking products in particular lending, deposits, and cards
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team and with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
