Position Overview

A fantastic opportunity exists for a high achieving, self-motivated and results driven leader to join our team at our Deer Park site.

As our Site Leader, you will be fully responsible for the entire facility from executing strategic initiatives, managing the site's operational costs and capital expenditure budget to utilizing the skills and knowledge of the operational staff all whilst championing EHS responsibilities.


Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, this senior position within our business requires a Leader who has sound technical knowledge of chemical processing and equipment to successfully manage and set the direction for our 24/7 Major Hazard Facility.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all the relevant legislative requirements of being a Major Hazard Facility and other environmental and occupational health & safety requirements

Accountability of the operation in a manner consistent with optimum productivity, regulatory compliance, quality and cost of production

High level inventory management to ensure accuracy and expense control

Management of the site's employee relations to maintain industrial harmony and work closely with Human Resources to manage the performance of all operational employees

Recognise the value of diversity and actively engage in cultural improvement activities. Empower employees, develop talent and embrace elements of high performance.

Provide proactive leadership at site level to embrace and implement change and flexibility

Utilise six sigma and manufacturing excellence tools and methodologies to facilitate continual improvement

Minimum Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science or equivalent.

Significant experience in site operations management at a major hazard facility and in championing safety initiatives.

Experience leading in a unionised environment with an understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations system.

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with the ability of promoting teamwork through inclusiveness and collaboration

Strong time management, technical and problem-solving skills

A focus on setting priorities in a dynamic environment and executing on agreed plans

Experience initiating and leading change
