Payroll Officer - full time hybrid role - 2 days from the office - 3 days WFH
We have another fabulous opportunity for you to join the UGL payroll family of 24.


We have a new full time permanent hybrid position available You will work 2 days from the office in North Sydney and 3 days work from home.

We offer a beautiful office environment with a fully equipped kitchen on every floor and comfortable seating where you can catch up with colleagues over lunch.

Our payroll is processed digitally with SAP at the core along with Kronos and ServiceNow. When the team is in the office there always seems to be an excuse to celebrate or some homemade international cuisine to share


About the role


The payroll team at UGL follows best practice and is segregated into 3 distinct teams, data management, payroll processing and payroll accounting.

Based in the payroll processing team you will be responsible for ensuring everyone is paid the correct amount, at the right time.

The role involves essentially everything and anything that relates to paying our workers.

To include income protection, workers compensation and manual payments, uploading payslips, weekly reconciliation and submission of payment summaries via STP and calculation of termination and redundancy quotes.

You will work on SAP and solve payroll tickets issued via ServiceNow and you'll get to liaise with our friendly recruitment and P&C teams to solve payroll queries.


The opportunity


We employ predominantly blue-collar workers based on different project sites across Australia, with different site uplift allowances, EBA's, LAFHA and specific client-based agreements - you can see how the role can get a bit complex and varied Some of our payrolls have over 2,500 employees and we often pay 10,000 workers during the month.

For this particular role we'll assign you one of the smaller payrolls and you'll be responsible for picking up more of the ServiceNow payroll tickets.


Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliant, efficient and effective delivery of your assigned payroll
  • Fully utilise SAP to verify and ensure correct authorisation has been achieved
  • Solve ServiceNow payroll queries

About you

  • Substantial experience as a Payroll Officer within a highvolume payroll environment
  • Experience processing payroll for blue collar workers to include an understanding of EBA's
  • Experience solving payroll queries
