UGL Regional Linx operates and maintains the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN).

The CRN links broad areas of Regional NSW to interstate and metropolitan rail systems.

The network supports daily passenger services along with the transportation of freight including coal, grain, cotton, minerals and containerised goods to domestic and export markets.

We are seeking motivated railway signallers and experienced Network Control Officers who would like to join our Network Operations team in Orange.


The opportunity

  • Manage and control daytoday train movements in a vast and varied network on a 24 hour/7 days a week basis
  • Facilitate network access for maintenance activities across the network
  • Support the administration of adhoc train movements
  • Ensure rail safeworking procedures are followed

About the role
As a Network Control Officer you will play an important role in the continued safe operation of the CRN. UGL Regional Linx will run training schools to ensure all staff have appropriate knowledge to operate our network.

This includes issuing staff with a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Rail Operations (if not already obtained prior) at the successful completion of the required training.


About you

  • Certificate IV in Rail Operations or willingness and ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of NSW Rail Safety Law desirable
  • Current Driving Licence
  • Customer focused, team orientated, accountable and results driven
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow through within a fast paced operational environment
  • Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and utilise new skills and knowledge
