Purchasing Supervisor to join the Barminco team in Hazelmere head office.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Procure required goods and services as per published schedules at best possible price in accordance with current policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and followup on outstanding orders and credits ensuring that these are completed on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and maintain good Supplier relationship management including performance assessment and ratings.
  • Continuously review and benchmark current and potential suppliers to identify cost savings and ensure the company is procuring the best available value for money goods and services.
  • Assist and support all users with queries on parts catalogue, purchase orders and procurement system.
  • Ensure that the company's HS&E and QA policies are adhered to in the course of performing the duties.
  • Provide day to day guidance and training to team members as required.
  • Complete end of month report requirements.
  • Identify and assist in procure to pay process improvements.
  • Carry out other related tasks as required.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity in the mining or engineering industry.
  • Able to establish priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of staff and with customers from various diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with SAP & Pronto purchasing, inventory and costing systems.
  • Skilled at using various Microsoft products including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Understand the legal requirements, standards etc. of procurement and supply procedures
  • Valid Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A' essential.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Procurement and Supply would be desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management would be desirable.
