About the Role

Working closely with our Financial Controller, you will ensure an accurate payroll function and effective accounting and financial reporting systems.

Flexible hours we are open to 4 days per week, 9 days per fortnight or full time. Further we are open to flexible hours, such as school hours and offer 1-2 days working from home.


Key Responsibilities

Payroll:

  • Manage the endtoend processing of fortnightly payroll, monthly tax and superannuation processes and payments for our Australian fulltime, parttime and casual staff
  • Ensure data integrity against policies, EBA's and legislation
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Provide LSL and termination calculations
  • Work closely with HR to ensure the information contained is accurate and up to date
  • Provide relevant reconciliations and analyses to Leaders
  • Work with external providers to run our international payroll functions
  • Timely submission of Instalment Activity Statements, Payroll tax and Superannuation
  • Timely response to queries from staff

Accounting, Reporting & Operations:

  • End to end management of the Accounts Payable function
  • Assistance with the Accounts Receivable function.
  • Bank reconciliations, including foreign currency transactions
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Month end processes including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assistance with reporting for financial and operational review
  • Work with our Financial Controller to maintain appropriate financial controls, procedures, and compliance
  • Assist with the accuracy of information being contributed to financial forecasts
  • Contribute to Treasury and cash management
  • Assist with ATO reporting obligations
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and efficiency to processes, new systems, standards, and support any change implementation

Requirements:


  • Australian citizenship
  • 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping, financial reports and/or payroll management
  • Welldeveloped IT skills in Excel, Xero & Futrl
  • Ability to problemsolve, suggest improvements and work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and organisation
  • Willingness to learn and be challenged

Additional skills & experience that make strong

applicants

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Confidence to research and give advice regarding tax, accounting, audit principles and practices, and compliance
