We have an exciting opportunity for a AOD Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to people at risk of harm due to alcohol and other drugs use with a specific focus on young people, pregnant people and parents with young children.
The AOD counsellor will be a part of a specialist AOD multidisciplinary team based in Singleton and servicing the surrounding communities.

- Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Worker or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 2 years demonstrated experience in the area of AOD and mental health
- Experience participating in and actively contributing to multiservice case review meetings with psychologists, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, local health district staff and other relevant government and nongovernment organisations.
- Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community
- Experience in implementing and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs, including feedback informed treatment, program review and risk management.
