Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD.

Melbourne Private Hospital is looking to employ Food Services Assistants to join their busy department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

Selection Criteria:

Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
Excellent time management skills
Flexible to work a variety of shifts early/late shifts & weekend work

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker
