Your New Role:


Permanent Full Time Opportunity - The primary objective of this role is to support the achievement of Australian Unity's vision together with ensuring effective business partnering, and the provision of meaningful financial insights relating to the operations of Australian Unity's Home Health business.


Your New Role Looks Like This:

  • Support stakeholders within the Business Unit in the successful delivery of care to our customers.
  • Partner with stakeholders on the management of working capital (Receivables).
  • Provision of support for the requirements of Group Finance functions, including: Monthend management, Results commentary, risks and opportunities registers, Monthly and quarterly forecasting comprising Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflows & Treasury and Liquidity Management
  • Strategic finance partnering across the HH Business Units to support revenue initiatives, manage costs, develop analysis, and provide commercial finance support.
  • Assistance with the annual strategic planning processes of budgets, forecasts and consolidated future periods budgets across the business unit(s).
  • Reporting of actual performance against budget, forecast and longerterm strategic plan initiatives.
  • Assist the GM of Finance Home Health on strategic projects
  • Work collaboratively with the AU Group Finance team to ensure accuracy and reliability in all financial information produced from the shared services team.
  • Participation in monthly management meetings in the provision of financial performance reviews and presentations.
  • Development & analysis of financial outcomes of operationally focused business plans.
  • Provision of commercial and financial support to General Managers, Regional Managers and Branch Managers on the development of detailed budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyse and understand market data to facilitate discussions on current conditions and potential economic changes and future trends.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, talent acquisition, technology, procurement, and strategic projects to manage budgets and ensure business unit enablement.

About You:


  • Membership of a recognised accounting body is mandatory (CPA or CA qualified).
  • 3+years relevant commercial finance experience with strong business partnering experience involved with branch operations/networks.
  • Proven success in operationally oriented analytical roles.
  • Natural desire to seek continuous improvement and thinking innovatively.
  • Collaborative style, proactive and a bias for making things happen.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate productive and effective business partnering relationships.
  • Ambition and drive to achieve results and time constraints and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
