The Role


At IAG, we currently have multiple Full-Time Permanent opportunities available for Motor Claims Consultants to join our NRMA/SGI RACV brands starting 17th February 2023 in Mulgrave.

The primary purpose of the Claims Consultant role is to effectively lodge and/or manage claims in a professional and proactive manner, adhering to legislative requirements and policy directives while delivering exceptional customer service.

The roles will be predominantly Work from Home but based from the Parramatta office. The initial 6 week training period will consist of both Work from Home and in-office learning.

To be able to work from home you will be required to have a designated work area and a fixed internet connection.

The below shifts are 7:00am - 8:00pm on an Open Availability roster. Please note that all training will be Monday to Friday. For weekend work, you would receive loading (50% on Saturdays and 75% on Sundays). You will be given notice of your upcoming shifts 4 weeks in advance.

Tuesday - Saturday
Sunday - Thursday


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately lodge and record customer claims to mitigate risk of leakage (compliance).
  • Deliver performance against business Key Performance Indicators.
  • Taking ownership on every call and being accountable for outcomes.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints associated with the claims function, within agreed timeframes.
  • Provide an effortless claims and customer experience for our customers measured through customer survey results, verbatim feedback, and Quality Listening.
  • Demonstrate IAG Mindset, Values and Behaviors.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in insurance is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate sound computer and literacy skills.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
