Temporary Part-Time Position (30hrs a fortnight)
Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown is a vibrant and future focused Catholic school.
The College is seeking a TAS Faculty Assistant - 3 days a week to assist the TAS department and Leader of Learning with the organisation, resource management and operation of the TAS workshops (including wood, metal, graphics and design technologies and construction spaces).
This role would ideally suit a person who has a broad range of skills and experiences in the use of various tools, equipment and materials and who enjoys making products or projects in workshop environments.
About You
- Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to encourage, communicate with and engage young people.
- Ability to engage with various internal and external stakeholders in the resource management of TAS workshops, such as suppliers, trades etc.
- Possess a good knowledge and understanding of Work, Health, and Safety regulations relevant in workshop environments.
- Work effectively with colleagues in implementing the aims and practices of the Faculty and College, and be willing to contribute to its academic, pastoral, spiritual and cocurricular life.
- A commitment to the Patrician and Catholic ethos of the College.
- Child Protection legislation applies, including a current Working with Children Check.
