Position Information:


GRC, Hurstville Boys Campus is a vibrant educational setting focused on innovatively meeting the learning needs of young men in Years 7-10 inclusive.

It is focused on delivering a quality education to all students and strives for excellence in teaching and learning.

With an enrolment of 271 students, GRC Hurstville Boys Campus works collaboratively with the other campuses making up GRC:
Penshurst Girls, Peakhurst and Oatley Senior Campuses.


Hurstville Boys Campus prioritises Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), ensuring the values of respect, responsibility and excellence underpin all school activities.

A broad range of co-curricular programs integrate with classroom learning to strengthen boys' engagement in the classroom and beyond.

The school proudly differentiates the curriculum to best meet the educational needs of all students, including high potential and gifted students and those with diverse learning needs.

The Support Unit at Hurstville Boys Campus includes three classes for students identified as having Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as a multi-categorical class.

The Support Unit is an integrated and highly valued part of the school community.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12.


Ability to lead the development of innovative and dynamic teaching and learning programs that are engaging and differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.


Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven capacity to effectively lead a productive and collaborative team of diverse teachers.

Capacity to work with the executive team to lead, implement and evaluate whole school priorities for continual school improvement.


General Selection Criteria:


  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
