Are you seeking a role where you can make a difference and positively use your influencing skills and networks to foster change and help grow our business?

We are currently seeking an Occupational Hygiene Officer for a permanent part-time opportunity based at our Mine sites.


Accountability extends to ensuring all people on site have an appropriate level of understanding of the potential hazards, control measures, and provide the latest relevant research to them minimise the risk to their health.

You will oversee the Occupational Hygiene Monitoring and Fit Testing Program for both Huntly and Willowdale Mine Sites.

Other duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain the locations Health Management Plans.
  • Facilitate the management of ongoing surveillance programs by ensuring that appropriate monitoring of physical and chemical hazards in the work environment is carried out.
  • Evaluate data with respect to health standards and regulatory requirements and provide feedback to the operating centres on routine monitoring results and their implications to the health of people working in the area.
  • Managing the collection and storage of occupational hygiene data to ensure that the most recent technology.
  • Undertake and maintain hazardous material risk assessments by reviewing all materials prior to their purchase, maintaining a register of all materials used on site, and providing training to all people involved in using these materials in the workplace.
  • Developing and leading a comprehensive Respiratory and Hearing Protection Program, ensuring that adequate training is provided.
  • Continually evaluating and trialling new protective equipment as it becomes available on the market to ensure the highest level of protection is offered.
About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Bachelors or Post-Grad studies in Occupational Hygiene and/or Health / Science.
  • Membership of The Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH).
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience with strong customer orientation and ability to effectively prioritise.
  • WA DMIRS Registered Sampler and WA Registered Noise Officer
  • Heavy industry experience, or familiarity in a similar environment
