About the Role

The Operations Hub Crew Leader is accountable to lead and manage their own 24/7 Operations Hub crew on a rotating shift roster and influence others to deliver on the day of operations activities, ensuring real-time operational performance of 9500km water network and 9700km wastewater network to prevent service interruptions and leading the response and service restoration of operational incidents and events.

As a key operational leadership position, this role is required to lead, collaborate and coordinate your core team and a broad range of stakeholders, conducting timely trouble shooting and execution of multiple activities in parallel, providing exceptional network performance, safety of our staff, assets and customers, leading to positive customer experience, exceptional public health and the ongoing protection of and minimize harm of the natural environment within relevant regulatory requirements.

The incumbent will be required to work 24/7 shifts on a rostered basis and cover sick leave and annual leave.

Success in this role will be measured by how well operational events are coordinated, your ability lead yourself and others to troubleshoot complex and emergent operational issues, how quickly issues are contained and resolved, minimising, or avoiding impact to customers and the natural environment and how well this is communicated in a timely manner to relevant stakeholder groups.

Key functions of the role include:
Lead Day of Operations Functions across 20,000 km of assets serving 1.6 million people

Lead provision of commercial services to others

Using Operational Technology to prevent failures

Incident Management

Enacting Operational Protocols

Coordinating sim-ops through management of permitting

Developing operating discipline

Developing strong relationships with peers

Building a collaborative culture with bias for action and replicable, repeatable operations

Building capability in operational teams

Panama Plus Roster Applies: 8 cycles of 4 on 4 off (11-hour shifts) then 2 cycles of 8-hour shifts Mon

Fri with 1 x RDO.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:
Experience in management or leadership of Control Rooms in either, utilities, mining, and/or oil & gas

Leadership of monitoring and control of large, distributed asset bases through SCADA, IICATS, DCS or Advanced operational platforms

Demonstrated ability to lead in fast paced operational or incident management environments

Additional, favourable experience includes:

Experience in IIOT, OT or Contact centres

Integrated operations experience

LEAN, Six Sigma or TQM

Commercial contract acumen
