The role


Furthermore, you will oversee and manage the analysis, development, implementation and evaluation of patient rights and quality improvement initiatives arising from Better Care Together, the five-year plan setting the strategic directions and priorities across the state-funded mental health, alcohol, and other drug service system, including for example improving access to legal advocacy in tribunal and court matters.

The successful person

To be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding and breadth of experience of the interpretation and requirements of relevant legislation and policy (e.g., Mental Health Act 2016, Guardianship and Administration Act 2000) and its complex inter-relationship with government, non-government and private sectors, or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

You will also have an advanced level of professional and clinical skills with extensive knowledge of mental health alcohol and other drug service provision.


In addition to this, you will have the proven ability to communicate with influence, interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and networks.
