How will I help?


The Information Security Principal Consultant part of the Security Data Services (SDS) team within Critical Protocol Controls (CPC), you will be supporting our Security Insights platform that runs on Palantir.

This is done through the design, implementation, and operation in the Information Security Group (ISG) at Westpac.


As the Technical leader driving specific agendas for the team, your accountabilities will include integrating data sources by verifying connectivity, network firewall and proxy in Linux.

Ingesting source data through API (MS Office 365 / Graph), File Transfer (SFTP), and SQL.

In addition to this, the key responsibilities may also consist of:


  • Transforming unstructured datasets into a more consumable format using PySpark / Python
  • Designing and building data pipelines while optimizing performance using techniques like code refactoring, pagination, parallel loading, partitioning, and broadcasting
  • Consulting internal Westpac clients for data needs from endtoend with ownership

  • Experience in Governance for data onboarding, data quality, master data, and access control
  • Be a Selfstarter, quality questioning, mentoring the team and no fear to play the devil's advocate
