Rio Tinto is seeking passionate people who are _Bi-lingual (Mongolian and English) _and who will contribute to our collective commitment to make a difference to the lives of those who are impacted by harmful and disrespectful behavior.

Providing contact and support, you will facilitate appropriate and safe referral pathways using a strengths-based approach and practice. You will have a background and experience of trauma informed approaches to facilitate and coordinate appropriate resolutions.


About the role

To be successful in this role you will be expected to:

  • Make professional assessments of the needs of those accessing the Discrete Unit.
  • Take all reasonable actions to meet these needs within the operating framework and principles of the organisation.
  • Develop and implement case management plans to support impacted person
  • Manage the coordination and facilitation of resolution options with all key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of resolution implementation.
  • Follow up and check in of impacted persons wellbeing.
  • Case Closure/reintegration plan

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:
Required Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work or other tertiary level qualifications in health, behavioural/social sciences, community services or a related discipline that provides a sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with people who have experienced trauma.
  • Minimum 3 years specialist counselling experience

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience responding to and managing crisis intervention disclosures through a trauma informed lens.
  • Experience in triage, risk assessment and safety planning, preferable in the area of harmful behaviours.
  • An understanding of addressing racism, discrimination, bullying and harassment, sexual harassment and sexual assault and other complex cases.
  • Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and commitment to working with Indigenous people.
  • The capacity to work effectively in both a standalone role and as part of a global team.
  • Competence in the use of electronic case management systems.

You will form part of the Business Conduct Office Discrete Unit Team reporting to the Discrete Unit Manager.
