About the role

As the Maintenance Planner at our Clayton Manufacturing site, you will be responsible for the integrity of all data in the CMMS system and the effective use of this data to achieve high efficiency and effectiveness for the entire maintenance department.

This position will have primary responsibility for maintenance planning to ensure the effectiveness of the maintenance department.

The role also incorporates the collaboration of data and the compilation of reports associated with the data collected concerning tasks, types, numbers, effectiveness, etc.

From these reports, recommendations will be made for further improvements in the department and the business in general.


You will:


  • Provide data analysis and advice for maintenance performance, incorporating feedback from meetings
  • Ensure accurate and updated plant information in CMMS, conduct RCA tasks, and develop audited bill of materials
  • Develop annual equipment overhaul schedules, manage requests and spare parts, and forecast maintenance work
  • Assist in eliminating recurring issues, monitor team performance through CMMS, and analyse data for improvement opportunities
  • Ensure safety activities are scheduled, conduct checks, comply with policies, and actively participate in health and safety discussions
  • Lead weekly planning meetings, contribute to maintenance budget strategies, and foster a 'Never Walk By' culture
  • Ensure compliance with food safety policies, and procedures, and contribute to external quality audits
To be successful in this role you will need

  • Trade background with Supply Chain
  • Planning experience essential
  • An understanding of OHS regulations and site safety MAP elements
  • Relevant industry experience desirable
  • Food manufacturing preferably within FMCG, baking/food/biscuit industry
  • An understanding of food safety practices
  • Computing skills SAP & PC Mait highly advantageous
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and numerical
  • The ability to work in a crossfunctional team environment
