ROLE SUMMARY

  • Responsible for strategy and operational delivery of MI services in Korea, Australia, New Zealand (KANZ) including the oversight of the MI Frontline organization and Medical Information Scientist, who manage and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Patients and Medical Information Channels (Websites, Chatbots etc.) deployed in the market
  • Responsible for overseeing cluster market engagement and relationships with key internal stakeholders across both Medical and Commercial to ensure an aligned customer experience and the appropriate management of customer enquiries

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for MI and CRU Service delivery for KANZ against key performance indicators (e.g., service level, turnaround time) and quality measures associated with inquiry management/customer experience (e.g., customer feedback), aligned with IDM/Global customer engagement strategy, including channel (websites, phones, live chat, chatbots etc.) oversight.
  • Responsible for provision of MI services in KANZ in accordance with MI standards and prevailing regulations. Including inspection readiness, business continuity and quality event management
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders/ groups in aligned markets with support from Customer Experience and Category Leads, ensuring MI supports and inputs into Market Customer Engagement strategy, provides key customer insights and demonstrates the value of MI to our customers
  • Engage KANZ Omnichannel stakeholders to integrate MI capabilities in their strategic plans. Work with MI Operations and local PHEX teams to ensure pullthrough of global/IDM strategies.
  • Lead and influence MI practices and industry standards through interactions with professional organizations, other industry leaders, and/or Regulatory bodies in KANZ markets.
  • Integral part of IDM LT. Key contributor to IDM LT strategy setting, business reviews & decisions, and stakeholder & colleague communications
  • Works with Customer Experience Leads and other stakeholders to develop MI IDM Customer Engagement Strategy and responsible for deployment of strategy in the KANZ markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Pharmacy or a related field. Masters in Science with MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred
  • Demonstrated pharmaceutical industry knowledge/experience and success working in a highly matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead complex, virtual teams; Indepth knowledge of MI required.
  • 10 plus years of Medical Information or related experience
  • 5 plus years of management experience; experience managing leaders preferred or leading in a matrix environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Legal and Regulatory environment and its impact on the pharmaceutical industry including provisions regarding scientific exchange.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment, with global or regional business responsibilities highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities combined with strategic planning skills.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexibility to work some early morning or late evening hours to accommodate global/regional teleconferences/meetings.
  • May require travel for regional or internal stakeholder meetings, or scientific congress support.
