Position Information:


Ryde East Public School has an enrolment of 465 students, including 32% from an EAL/D background and 4 Aboriginal students.

Selection Criteria:


  • Approval to teach infants and/or primary. Approval to teach primary or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education (Refer special notes below).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to deliver explicit, innovative teaching and whole school programs, whilst promoting critical and creative thinking, digital literacy, and a love of literature.
  • Capacity to organise, manage and implement a stimulating library learning environment utilising the resources of the library to positively impact Teaching and Learning for schoolwide Literacy.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive and effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community.

About the NSW Department of Education


If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.

It is anticipated that this position will commence on day 1 of term 3 of the 2023 school year.
