We are now looking to appoint to the position of
Nursing Coordinator -
Casey Hospital.

This is a senior nurse leadership opportunity dedicated to the delivery of excellence in patient care and services and will be appointed on a permanent (ongoing) basis, working 50 hours per fortnight across a seven day per week roster including AM, PM and ND shifts.

About the Role
The
Nursing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred care and timely patient flow. This includes supporting the delivery of access targets.

Working in collaboration with inter-professional disciplines, the position ensures effective partnerships are developed and maintained in our commitment to delivering high standards of care.


  • The coordination of bed management and patient access and flow across the site
  • Site emergency management
  • Alerting the site Director of Nursing of potential and actual clinical and nonclinical risk issues
  • Effective and efficient management of the site resources in order to achieve a high standard of nursing care in accordance with legislation and regulations

About You
You have outstanding people and communication skills, combined with proven recent leadership and management experience.

You have demonstrated prior experience of effective leadership and the delivery of excellence in patient care and services to the community.


With proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, you readily build strong relationships with stakeholders in the delivery of patient centred care.

You are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and are outcome focussed with strong problem solving skills and an innovative thinking approach.


What you need:


  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated experience in acute medical and/or surgical care
  • Strong leadership skills and a consultative management style
  • Welldeveloped communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage clinical and operational emergencies
  • Working rights in Australia
  • Post graduate qualification in leadership or management (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a nursing leadership role (desirable)
  • Current incident commander training (desirable)
