In this role you will:
Undertake policy, economic and legal research and analysis to inform regulatory reforms to the Victorian Energy Sector, with a strong focus on improving outcomes for consumers.-Collaborate with other teams in the division to ensure energy codes can be implemented effectively and to promote compliance.
- Support stakeholder engagement with representatives from energy businesses, customer groups and government agencies to develop clear and influential advice and solutions.
Position details
The position is responsible for:
- Support the project management of regulatory reform initiatives.
- Support the project management of regulatory reform initiatives.
- Interpret legal advice (and interpretation of external advice) to the energy reform team in relation to the commission's energy functions and legislative processes.
- Lead research and analysis of regulatory policy options and provide clear and influential advice and solutions to complex energy and policy issues.
- Support stakeholder consultation and engagement processes.
- Support drafting guidelines, standards, reports, consultation papers and commission decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry, government, and professional and academic organisations. Support management of contracts with external providers.

- making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
