In this role you will:

Undertake policy, economic and legal research and analysis to inform regulatory reforms to the Victorian Energy Sector, with a strong focus on improving outcomes for consumers.-Collaborate with other teams in the division to ensure energy codes can be implemented effectively and to promote compliance.

Support stakeholder engagement with representatives from energy businesses, customer groups and government agencies to develop clear and influential advice and solutions.
Position details

The position is responsible for:

Support the project management of regulatory reform initiatives.
Support the project management of regulatory reform initiatives.
Interpret legal advice (and interpretation of external advice) to the energy reform team in relation to the commission's energy functions and legislative processes.
Lead research and analysis of regulatory policy options and provide clear and influential advice and solutions to complex energy and policy issues.
Support stakeholder consultation and engagement processes.
Support drafting guidelines, standards, reports, consultation papers and commission decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with industry, government, and professional and academic organisations. Support management of contracts with external providers.
