NATSEC Project 003 is a currently in-flight program of work delivering first of type capability to one of our National Security Clients.

The project has been in operations by the DXC National Security Account for 18 Months after transitioning for the Internal DXC Defence Account.

The project is a cloud-based capability focusing on the following technology Stacks, AWS, Azure, GIT/Azure, Dev Ops and Automation.

The project has a TCV of 22 million over 12 months and with a contract end date of 30 Jun 2023, however, we have enduring extension options with the intent to run the capability for years to come.

The Test Automation Lead will support the delivery of a multi-year complex ICT build project.

The project will incorporate the design and delivery of a greenfield network monitoring and management system hosted on a hybrid cloud environment.

The Test Automation Lead will work as part of a design office to lead the development of a comprehensive project test strategy.

The Test Automation Lead will lead a small testing team to drive unit, functional and performance testing through all phases of project development activities in an automated manner and ensure requirements are met.

Role Responsibilities

Formulate testing strategies and prepare a project testing plan that encompasses the full range of tests from unit, functional and user testing, leveraging automation wherever feasible.
Coordinate testing activities across several crossfunctional technical teams to ensure all components developed in the project meet agreed project requirements
Analyse, review and report on test outcomes and metrics as well as ensure all defects are identified and tracked via project configuration management
Coordinate with other managers (Project Manager, Development Manager, etc) to ensure the highestlevel quality are achieved.
Provide advice and assistance to other developers as the test automation SME.

Essential Experience

3+ years' experience leading a test team, including using modern testing tools and techniques.
Strong background developing and delivering test automation (i.e. Ansible, GIT)
NV1 security clearance with the ability to pass additional security assessments.

Desirable Experience

Delivering testing as part of a CI/CD pipeline following a DevSecOps approach.
Experience testing infrastructure as code.
Working in Agile teams
Experience in Government secure environments

Desirable Qualities

Currency in modern testing strategies and approaches.
Ability to quickly grasp new or complex technical concepts and implement them as part of your role.
Able to build strong rapport with team members and genuinely care about their success.
Positive attitude towards change, continuous improvement and incrementally helping others.
Desire to continue your own learning journey.
Excellent written skills in English
