Role Summary


This position is responsible for providing:

  • Reception services
  • Administrative support to the cardiologists (as required)
  • Support to all technical staff
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Assistance to administrative team and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsiveness to patients and referrers in clinics
  • Be part of multidisciplinary team to achieve individualised patient services of the highest quality.
  • Respond to and resolve issues and provide a prompt service in line with expectations
  • Work with colleagues and other administrative staff to achieve efficient and effective management of medical records and clinical information throughout the Practice
  • Quality cardiac care service provision and continuous improvement
  • Customer Service for both face to face and phone contact for Advara HeartCare and the Cardiologists.
  • Promotion of an efficient, competent, effective,and compassionate service to all patients, while maintaininga good working relationship with all staff members.
  • Receiving patients
  • Monitoring flow of patients within the rooms
  • Monitoring patient comfort and care in the waiting room
  • Ensuring the smooth running of Cardiologists clinics and testing services.
  • Liaising with Secretaries to Cardiologists and Technical staff
  • Entering patient details
  • Directing patients appropriately
  • Tending to the patients'needs
  • Booking and confirming patients for tests and consultations
  • Billing and receiptingat time of clinic
  • Banking preparation and reconciliation
  • Phone and Incoming call management of multiple phone lines
  • Filing electronic scanning and filing of patient notes for testing clinics
Your key working relationships

In this position, you need to develop strong relationships with Cardiologists, Management, Secretarial staff,Technical staff and patients.

Experienceand Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of and an ability to provideexcellent patient care and customer service
  • Proven experience to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Access and rapidly learn the relevant medical software
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills with the ability to efficiently work as an effective member of an administrative support team
  • Exceptional phone manner and the demonstrated competency in handling a range of patient enquiries
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Experience working in a fastpacedenvironment
  • Relevant training or qualifications in medical reception
  • Previouscardiology or medical experience
  • Membership of a relevant professional body or association
  • Completion of accredited medical reception training course and/or experience in medical reception or customer service orientated profession.
  • Experience in medical billing and receipting (desirable)
