We now have a great opportunity available for an experienced Plant or Production Supervisor to join our growing Boral Asphalt team in Greenacre NSW 2190.


Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a key leadership role that will take responsibility for managing the Enfield Production facility to maximise productivity and profitability through optimum use of plant and people resources and ensure effective operation and maintenance of asphalt plants.


Your day will involve:


  • Build upon the current safety culture in line with Boral health, safety and wellbeing intent
  • Manage various plant staff including permanent employees, labour hire and contractors and contractors
  • Ensure your team has the competencies required to effectively operate the plant by assessing training needs and developing individual training & assessment plans
  • Ensure the production processes are controlled within specified limits and corrective action is taken when process deviations occur
  • Monitor, review and manage the Production plant operation ensuring efficient operation and waste reduction
  • Manage, plan, report and exercise cost control of the Asphalt production facility
  • Oversee site raw materials plant operations and stock control, and work with logistics and rail terminals to ensure raw materials supply
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance work is completed as per schedule during plant operation and planned maintenance days
  • Provide cost estimates and monthly forecasts for maintenance activities
  • Manage environmental aspects of asphalt production to ensure the site is in line with the environmental protection licence and site restrictions.
  • Ensure continuous improvement principles are promoted as a structured approach to improve operational performance

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a similar Team Leadership or Supervisory role within a manufacturing and/or operational environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and your team
  • Stock management experience together with strong numeracy skills (ie cost control, maintenance, spend and consumables)
  • Mechanical aptitude together with intermediate MS Office skills (including Excel)
  • Strong safety, quality and risk management focus
