About the Role
This role will be responsible for managing Council's governance and information management functions.
As our Coordinator Governance & Information Management it will be your responsibility to ensure Council complies with its legal obligations in regards to records management, information access and privacy.
You will also oversee the provision of training, advice and support to the organisation.The governance responsibilities include agenda management, complaints management framework, policy, and statutory compliance.
You will be responsible for administering, the Code of Meeting Practice, the Model Code of Conduct, delegations, policy review and statutory reporting requirements.
The information management function includes public access to information, whilst overseeing the records management section and ensuring the delivery of contemporary records management services is in line with Council's Customer Driven Transformation Program.
We promote a culture of continuous improvement as we undertake our Customer Experience journey which includes making things easy for our customers to ensure they comply with their legal duties.
Lastly, As our Coordinator, you will lead, inspire and motivate staff to achieve targets and objectives effectively and efficiently.About You
You will possess tertiary qualifications in Business, Records/Information Management or a related discipline or have a combination of demonstrated industry experience in Governance and/or Information Management.
Your experience in Governance will enable you to demonstrate a practical knowledge of agenda management, statutory compliance, and systems.Similarly, your experience in Information Management will enable you to interpret and administer public access to information and privacy legislation and regulation.
You will also have experience in managing an electronic document management system or corporate information system, including the ability to develop and implement improvements to systems and processes.
Your strong communication skills will aid in your ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders. You will also have demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring a highly skilled team.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a base salary ranging $100,499 up to $111,554 per year based on demonstrated experience + 10.5% p.a.
