Position overview


The ANU Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) provides expert advice and support in delivering innovative learning and teaching services through collaborative partnerships across the University.

Under the CLT, Continuing Education contributes to the University's strategy for teaching and learning by providing a suite of initiatives and programs for professional development and lifelong learning, including extension and enrichment programs for secondary school students such as the ANU Extension program serving more than 400 high-achieving senior secondary students.


Continuing Education is recruiting a full time and fixed term Team Leader to pro-actively liaise with ACT strategic partners, stakeholders and co-ordinate a team of ANU sessional teachers and administrative staff to assist with student selection, enrolment and delivery of the ANU Extension program on the ANU campus.

The Team leader will initiate and undertake activities which support the cyclic operational needs and sustainability of the ANU Extension program, and other similar initiatives under the ANU Extension and Enrichment umbrella, such as presentations and selection tests for prospective students, school and ANU colleges liaison, teacher induction sessions and term meetings, grade collation and reporting (for BSSS H and ANU courses), curriculum documentation and relevant formal and informal celebratory and reporting activities marking the conclusion of each course.


This position will appeal to qualified educators with a strong administration and compliance background and who can demonstrate significant experience and competence in a high volume student enrolment and program co-ordination environment, including diverse courses in either the university or senior secondary sector.

The position requires adept and skilled co-ordination of high-volume enrolment communications and grade-data spreadsheets as well as marketing and stakeholder communications.

Advanced skills in Learning Management Systems and Excel would be advantageous, while attention to detail, diligence with compliance matters, problem solving capability, a focus on efficiency and systematic thinking, professionalism and sound judgement are all essential to the role and success of the program.
