Sun Engineering is constructing a first-of-its-kind automated racking system in Sydney, NSW (first one like this built in Australia).

Sun Engineering is looking for a number of site-experienced Safety Coordinators (Advisors, Officers etc.) to join us in executing the project works safely.

We need behaviour-focused individuals with a hands on and boots on the ground approach to safety.

We have an awesome team of racking installers and construction personnel with a wide range of experience and capabilities; we need safety operators who can interact with, encourage, and most importantly mentor our team through to the finish line without incident or injury.

The project is located in Moorebank, Sydney.

Working in the construction industry
Communicating openly and respectfully with workers, managers, other contracts, and client representatives, both verbally and in writing
Approaching unsafe work and mentoring the involved personnel towards safe outcomes
Preparing and updating SWMS, Risk Registers, HSE Plans etc.
Maintaining up to date HAZCHEM registers
Performing site inspections and audits
Preparing safety reports i.e. lagging and leading indicator reports
Addressing the workforce in leadership capacity, including leading prestart and toolbox topics on safety
Investigating incidents thoroughly and determining root causes

Required qualifications:

You will have _at least_ a WHS/OHS Cert IV qualification
You will hold a White Card (construction induction card)
Additional qualifications in auditing, Training and Assessment, ICAM, Injury Rehab, all beneficial

What we are offering:

- $169,000 annualised package (
day rate of $490.00 per day + super)

Work to December 202
Opportunity for ongoing employment on consecutive projects around Australia
