Description

As the Procurement Officer you will also undertake market analysis, drive continuous improvement, implement standard procurement processes, deliver general sourcing activities and support contract negotiation.

The role is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge database of suppliers' markets, capabilities and technology and supporting the implementation of strategic commercial agreements that optimise value for money.


What we are looking for:


Demonstrated experience in procurement, identifying opportunities to improve the value delivered from every dollar spent and in delivering the initiatives required to secure that value.


  • Supplier engagement experience including attending supplier meetings, providing constructive feedback to suppliers based on evidence and resolving minor contract issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary procurement and category management practices and issues, relevant regulations and the ability to deliver bestvalue quality customer services.
  • Initiates and participates in activities designed to develop and foster professional relationships. Displays a willingness to learn from others.
  • Engages with the Centre of Excellence and governance but actively seeks new ways of working and looks into trends that can improve business performance.
  • Actively works to maximise the value of the service provided, with an awareness of cost management and customer management as part of the thought process. Understand the 'bottom line' in all services.
  • Applies knowledge of industry, market and business trends to prioritise activities.

Other role requirements:


  • Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be highly regarded.
