A role for a leader who is informed, connected, hands-on and can-do

  • Awareness Nat/State Early Years policy environments especially welcome
  • Inner north Bris. Some inter/intrastate travel. Significant 6 fig+super+benefits
Funded through government and philanthropy, this long-established, national organisation provides essential learning and social experiences to young children.

Built on a base philosophy that recognises parents as a child's first teacher, it delivers various purpose-designed services and early intervention programs that range from universal through clinical to therapeutic.

It also acts as an authoritative voice to government and the wider community on early childhood and parenting issues.

Presently moving through a transformation aimed to take it from 'very good' to 'beyond excellent,' this small, financially sustainable and influential human services nonprofit is growing exponentially.

But with demand on the rise, further strategic development is a high priority.

So, overall, the CEO will be responsible for planning and driving growth, ensuring regulatory requirements, customer expectations and company targets are met - if not exceeded - and that staff and volunteers are fulfilled while operations continue to run safely and smoothly at all times.

A key function of the role will be to ensure program design and delivery is efficient, effective, scalable, and informed by strong, ongoing evaluation and client input.

In short, all of the programs really matter because they're what's needed in real time and are perfectly fit for purpose in terms of design and delivery.

To come in and lead this high performance NFP from Day One, you will need:

  • excellent interpersonal and communications skills,
- the ability to readily nurture stakeholders across all levels,
- experience with QA frameworks,
- an understanding of Early Years strategy policy environments - or the ability to quickly absorb relevant data
- expertise across government block funded grants including a plethora of funding contracts with different lengths and end dates,
- proven financial acumen,
- and the ability to communicate all of your expansive knowledge in clear, persuasive and easily understood language,

The experienced and collaborative CEO we're hoping to meet will be an articulate, emotionally intelligent relationship builder, whose success is firmly vested in market-proven business aptitude.

Someone with the heart to caringly nurture a values-driven nonprofit and the head to ensure its planned growth and sustainability continues through government grants and goodwill.

The plan is for you to come in; take the time to deliberate and learn; absorb what is, review what could be; talk, collaborate and listen.

And - when the time is right
- to make your considered recommendations for growthall the while absorbing and respecting both internal and external contexts.

For this role, it will be your personal presence, communication and presentation that is critical.

Your passion for social impact powered by an innate ability to strike rapport, influence opinion, drive action and be both 'face' and advocate for your organisation is what's needed to sustain and grow great outcomes for this worthy organisation.
