About the Opportunity
WSLHD Respiratory Protection Program would like to present this exciting opportunity for an administrative officer to join our team.

The administrative officer role supports the Respiratory Protection Program Team, completing administrative tasks ensuring daily operational success and safety of SWSLHD's healthcare workers.


The Respiratory Protection Program administrative officer position is open to all applicants and may require work across multiple SWSLHD locations/facilities.

A current drivers licence is required.


As part of NSW Health, the respiratory protection program the administrative officer will have the opportunity to access all staff incentive programs such as fitness passport and salary sacrificing programs.

What you'll be doing

With the emergence of global infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) NSW Health have deemed a mandatory requirement that health workers (clinical and non-clinical), in defined locations, are 'Fit Tested'.

Fit Testing is the assessment of the best fitting respiratory protection for these staff. This requires a Respiratory Protection program (RPP).

It is expected a RPP will complement existing Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) and Work Health and Safety (WHS) programs.

This role is to provide administration support to the Respiratory Protection Program (RPP).

The role will work with staff, managers and external stakeholders, scheduling appointments, inputting data information to various systems and generating reports as needed.

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills including excellent listening skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively and cooperatively to achieve team goals and changing practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organisational skills and the ability to manage fluctuating workloads with frequently changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral and the ability to deal courteously with people at all levels.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
