The primary focus of the role will be to ensure the effective daily operation of the Stewarding team in maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in back-of-house, food production areas.

You will ensure an adequate supply of operating equipment for the Resort's Food & Beverage operations and promote effective teamwork throughout the Kitchen operation regarding Crowns Values and purpose statement courteous attitude and work efficiency to facilitate close internal customer relations.

As a leader, you will be expected to maintain a positive team culture by developing and implementing strategies to engage the team and foster strong working relationships.


Essential Criteria:


  • Previous experience in maintaining cleaning & sanitising costs to parameter's given by the company.
  • Knowledge of managing labour cost to parameter as specified by the company.
  • Commitment to Equal Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety and Ethical Practice.
  • Budgeting and Business Planning experience.
  • Ability to plan and manage teams for ongoing projects and future needs/projects is the responsibility of this position.
  • Experience in communication with external and internal parties in all levels of positions within the organisation and requires developed diplomacy and influencing skills, as well as motivating and leading a team.
  • Strong technical ability for the purposes of mentoring, coaching, and suggesting improvements to the kitchen operations.
  • Extensive Stewarding experience in the hotel industry.
  • Food hygiene experience and knowledge of Food Safety Plans record keeping, compliance etc.

Preferred Criteria

  • Tertiary education preferably in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management or a Businessrelated discipline
