About the Role:


The Stewarding department supports our Culinary and Food and Beverage team with ensuring all equipment and food areas are clean, hygienic and safe with accordance to our standards.

As the Stewarding Team Leader, your role will be to assist the Stewarding Manager in supervising and overseeing the cleaning responsibilities of all the Outlets, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in consistency with Hyatt Regency Sydney Standards.


As the Stewarding Team Leader you will be required to:

  • Supervise and oversee general cleaning duties as assigned
  • Ensure the standards of hygiene in all food outlets and kitchens are met
  • Uphold cleanliness of the Colleagues' Canteen
  • Monitor chemical usage and maintain up to date breakage records in all outlets on a weekly basis
  • Assist in coordinating and delivering all related equipment to support the kitchen and front of house teams.
  • Assist in training, leading and inspiring the stewarding team members to ensure a trained, well organised and motivated team to deliver clean and safe kitchens and service areas
  • Handson leader with good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Possess high standard of personal grooming

To be successful for the role you must have:

  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Availability to work 7 day rotating roster
  • Full Australian work rights is essential
