As a consequence of growth within the sector and to cater for greater personalised service, the organisation requires the services of a
Production Assistant to join them in a permanent role.

About the role:

Assist with production scheduling and document administration to support the manufacturing team.
Support the implementation of Business Central (Microsoft) Production Planning Functionality.
Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process excellence initiatives.
Cover the production supervisors role during periods of leave.
Adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
You will need to have a high degree of accuracy with a focus on attention to detail.

Applicants who can demonstrate the following attributes will be considered:

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Applications).
Enthusiastic and a have the ability / flexibility to learn new skills.
An interest in gaining knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Willingness to learn people management skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and understanding of scheduling processes, inventory control and logistics will also be a distinct advantage but not essential.
