JOB DESCRIPTION:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Select and inspect raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Cut, trim, and prepare meat according to specific requirements and recipes.
  • Operate meat processing machines such as grinders, slicers, and mixers.
  • Prepare marinades, seasonings, and other additives as necessary.
  • Arrange and package smallgoods products for sale or distribution.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to meet hygiene and safety standards.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Report any issues or concerns to management promptly.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum AQF Certificate III in meat processing.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Smallgoods Maker or similar role in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of meat processing techniques and equipment operation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and portioning ingredients.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required.
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
