The Position

St John of God Langmore Centre is a newly refurbished 60-bed private mental health hospital centrally located in Berwick providing a supportive, respectful and relaxed environment that promotes wellbeing and recovery. Our multidisciplinary team provide expert psychiatric care and treatment for conditions including depression, mood disorders, anxiety and psychosis through programs tailored to meet your patients' individual needs, including inpatient and day programs.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Therapy and Community Services Manager working within the Langmore Centre.

In this position the successful applicant will provide operational and strategic oversight to Inpatient, Day Patient Therapy, and Community Mental Health Services.

You will monitor and maintain professional standards for the multidisciplinary team through supervision, mentoring and performance development.

This position if offered on a permanent part time basis, working 60 hours per fortnight.

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligibility for professional membership with the appropriate organisation.
  • Advanced clinical skills with extensive knowledge of services and practice standards across the range of specialties provided at the Langmore Centre and ability to act as a consultant in complex clinical cases.
  • Demonstrated ability in the planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of a Therapy service within a health service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning, implementing and evaluating quality improvement initiatives, research and evidencebased practice in a clinical setting.
