Description

The purpose of SSS is to work as a part of a broader health, wellbeing, and inclusion workforce (HWIW) to support schools and students to address the barriers that impact student access, participation, and progress toward learning and achieving their educational goals and developmental potential.

SSS is comprised of psychologist, speech pathologist, behavioural analyst, occupational therapist, and social work allied health professionals and do vital work in supporting students' health and wellbeing - particularly for our most vulnerable students.

SSS are critical to building an excellent education system that reduces the impact of disadvantage.
As a behaviour analyst with SSS, you will work as part of an integrated, area
- based multidisciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team. Together with the area school improvement team, you will help build the capability of schools to support student achievement. This may include the provision of group-based and individual support, workforce capability building, and the provision of specialised services.
You will provide a range of behavioural assessments and supports to school-aged students to improve student learning and wellbeing.

You may be required to provide coaching, guidance, and advice to others, undertake advanced behavioural interventions and conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs).

You will have highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills that enable you to liaise effectively with a range of people in the education community and beyond.

This part-time, fixed-term position of 2 days a week for 12 months and will be based in the Bayside Peninsula Area.

Supervision and peer support is available within the team.
