An exceptional opportunity exists to join the Deal Management Team in COG's Operations Division.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team in a role which is responsible for the successful funding and settlement of balance sheet transactions on behalf of MAM (Macquarie Asset Management) and MacCap (Macquarie Capital).

The Deal Management Team is responsible for all on-going management of global transactions from pre-settlement to termination. As such, the team is required to analyse proposed transactions and implement their successful operation on a day-to-day basis.

This includes managing the transaction operationally through its full lifecycle across set up in source systems/funding/hedging/payment execution/deal lifecycle events, identifying risks in management of the deals and implementing measures to address and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.


Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Approving internal and external cash transactions raised by the team
  • Working closely with business and other stakeholders to manage operational support requirements
  • Managing escalation of potential issues or incidents to key stakeholders
  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure timely completion of tasks within our operational control framework
  • Identifying and implementing transformation of processes to enhance controls and efficiencies
  • Analysis and resolution of adhoc queries / problems arising from the course of conducting business
  • Supporting the performance management and development of the team


You will be able to demonstrate a history of quality performance in a similar role for at least 4 years and have a passion for financial markets.

You are pro-active, have good attention to detail and possess strong critical thinking skills.

You can demonstrate strong relationship and team building skills, work effectively to meet tight deadlines and stay organised in a dynamic environment.
