Your Role
As the Vocational Trainer you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Ensure compliance with VET Quality Framework for all training and assessment activities, facilities, equipment and resources at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator to deliver program curriculum that enhances the transition from school to employment ensuring work ready students for employers.
  • Collaborate in the development of programs to ensure the full potential of available resources and accessed environments is reached.
  • Carry out instruction and demonstration of components of vocational education. programs whilst working collaboratively with teaching personnel.
  • Work in collaboration with the VET teaching staff, building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with stakeholders, including students, community and industry partners.
  • Liaise and network with schools, industry and the general public to discuss matters associated with the provision of job opportunities for students.
  • Meet reporting and attendance requirements as stipulated by ISHS for the management of absenteeism, including the recording and tracking of competency completion and work placement progress for mapping purposes and to ensure RTO compliance.
  • Provide instruction to students and teachers in a range of skills and techniques relative to safe use of equipment in an educational/industry setting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of systems relating to the management of consumable stock control.
  • Monitor the routine and nonroutine maintenance of any equipment or appliances used in the delivery of the program.

Mandatory requirements of this role include:

  • A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Knowledge and experience in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrated extensive relevant industry experience and currency.
