WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

About the Team
The Electrical Maintenance Coordinator reports through to the Facilities Manager and forms part of a team of 4. The team includes a Facilities Maintenance Planner and a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator as well. This role is based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, QLD.


About the Role


The Electrical Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing service, maintenance and compliance of all electrical assets, infrastructure and services at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence.

The general and generic duties of the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all electrical maintenance activities on the MILVEHCOE site including contractor management;
  • Development and ongoing administration of our new SAP based CMMS including all electrical statutory and preventative maintenance procedures & schedules;
  • Manage the electrical safety of all onsite maintenance work encompassing employees, contractors, assets and systems including all Isolation, Safe Access passive and active systems;
  • Support the development of and be accountable for the ongoing compliance of all electrical maintenance isolation and safe work procedures and practices;
  • Manage relevant electrical operating licences for the MILVEHCOE site;
  • Proactively drive electrical preventative maintenance & continuous improvement activities;
  • Ensure all standards are met, that drawings & PLC programs are managed and kept current;
  • Lead facilitator of site BMS & automation;
  • Support facility upgrades requiring electrical services;
  • Ensure compliance of site and equipment to relevant electrical statutory & regulatory requirements;
  • Support the development and ongoing management of the electrical aspects of the Facilities maintenance and services budgets; and
  • Ensure all incidents, hazards and HSE concerns are reported in accordance with RDA HSE Management Systems.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Experience as the Electrical discipline leader on a large manufacturing site;
  • Electrical trade qualification;
  • Experience working with HV/LV distribution systems;
  • Significant demonstrable Safe Access and isolation experience;
  • Contractor Management experience;
  • Highly experienced with advanced problem solving skills;
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant Australian Standards
  • AS3000 / AS4024;
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
