The Workplace Relations team play an integral role in providing expert employee relations advice and practical solutions to complex workplace matters.
The team support people leaders across the Group at all levels to ensure that our employee relations programs, policies and procedures are aligned to legislative requirements, and business needs; whilst also balancing supporting our people to achieve the right outcome.

Do work that matters
You will work directly with the Retail Bank business unit in leading a high performing team to support with resolving complex people risk issues.
- Leading a team of Workplace Relations Specialists to support People Business Partners and Business Leaders in effectively manage ER cases such as, but not limited to Performance Management, Grievances, Misconduct, Investigations and any employee disputes.
- Support with planning and implementing the organisation's employee relations programs, policies and procedures; ensuring policies are consistently applied. This includes, coaching managers on policy, procedures and best practices in enhancing capabilities and confidence of leaders in managing ER matters.
- Being an escalation point for complex matters and lead/guide workplace relations investigations
- Deal with external stakeholders such as the Union, solicitors and other workplace representatives in support of the resolution of cases.
- Representing the Group at the Fair Work Commission for unfair dismissal matters
- Support and coach business unit leaders and HR Managers on strategic projects and the reorganisation of businesses.
- Support senior leaders and key stakeholders with identifying trends and implementation of initiatives to address underlying issues.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Industrial Relations, law or a related discipline
- Proven experience in the provision of industrial relations / employee relations advice.
- Demonstrable experience in the provision of HR advice.
- An excellent knowledge of the Australian Industrial Relations environment.
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and influence in a complex stakeholder environment
- Welldeveloped problem solving ability.
- Strong case management skills and experience
